Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026

HomeBrewHub is an educational resource for home fermentation hobbyists. Nothing on this site is professional, legal, medical, or safety advice. You are responsible for your own decisions, your own compliance with local law, and your own judgment about what is safe to make, ferment, or drink.

1. Who this applies to

These terms apply to anyone who uses homebrewhub.net, its calculators, recipes, saved-recipe storage, Pro subscription, purchased books, or any related feature ("the Site"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2. Age requirement

The Site covers the production of alcoholic beverages. You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal minimum age required in your jurisdiction if higher (for example, 21 in the United States), to use content related to alcohol production. Home distillation content additionally requires that you meet all separate legal requirements described in Section 6.

3. Educational content only — not professional advice

Recipes, calculators, style guides, books, and any AI-assisted features (including instrument-reading or data-capture tools) are provided for general educational purposes. They are not a substitute for your own judgment, testing, or professional consultation. HomeBrewHub does not guarantee that any recipe, calculation, or output is accurate, safe, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.

In particular: fermentation, brewing, and distilling carry inherent risks (including but not limited to contamination, spoilage, pressure buildup in sealed containers, and — for distilling — fire and health risks from improper technique). You assume full responsibility for evaluating the safety and quality of anything you make using information from this Site.

4. AI-assisted features

Any AI-assisted tool on the Site (including future features that read data from a photo or screenshot) is designed to extract or estimate factual data (such as a reading from an instrument) and is not designed or intended to judge whether a product is safe to consume. AI outputs can be wrong. Always verify readings and use your own judgment — when in doubt, don't consume something you're unsure about.

5. Accounts and subscriptions

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Pro subscriptions are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our authorized reseller, on a recurring basis until cancelled; you can manage or cancel your subscription from your account page at any time. Bundle purchases made through Gumroad are subject to Gumroad's own terms and refund policies in addition to these terms. HomeBrewHub Pro access granted through a bundle purchase is time-limited as described at the time of purchase and is not guaranteed to renew automatically.

6. Legal compliance — especially for distilling content

Laws about home production of alcohol, and especially home distillation of spirits, vary significantly by country, state, and region, and change over time. In many places — including at the federal level in the United States — distilling spirits at home without the appropriate license is illegal, regardless of whether it's for personal use. HomeBrewHub does not verify your local laws for you. It is your sole responsibility to confirm what is legal in your jurisdiction before producing, distilling, or possessing any alcohol-related equipment or product. HomeBrewHub disclaims all responsibility for your compliance, or non-compliance, with any law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HomeBrewHub and its founder are not liable for any injury, illness, property damage, legal consequence, or other loss arising from your use of the Site, its content, or anything you make using information from it. The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, as HomeBrewHub currently operates as a sole proprietorship based in Lithuania. This section will be updated if HomeBrewHub is operated through a different legal entity in the future.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
